Andrew's first trip to the pool! He splashed with his hands and kicked so much!

All the Day boys/men love to swim!

Andrew's first time in the high chair today! He has started eating just a little baby food.

Ready to go for a walk! We stayed really warm :)

Maybe later I'll have time to figure out how to flip this picture. But for now, this is the best smile we've gotten from Charlie for a picture. Lately he's been making funny faces for the camera. Sweet boy!

The Aftermath

During this Thanksgiving holiday, we have so much to be thankful for. For example, we are thankful that no one was home when the fire started. The fire started in the garage, went into the attic, and then the roof fell in. It is a total loss.

Saturday morning, the men went to the property and Jack insisted on wearing his fireman costume.

The house continued to burn, so this is what it finally looked like Wednesday morning. We got a babysitter and all the adults went out to do a little digging.

Sunday morning, the pastor at Mark's parents church had a little comedy before he gave the church announcements. It was "The Benefits of a Burned Turkey". Well, the Days had a charred turkey this Thanksgiving! Gotta laugh about something! (Side note: they had to get the meat out of the freezer. It was stinky!!)

Paul and Melody methodically searching for Grandma's jewelry.

She found it!!

Fun with cousins!

Thanksgiving dinner at the Cook's, the greatest neighbors. It was so good! Purple hull peas and corn from Mr.Cook's garden! Can't buy vegetables that tasty at the grocery store!

It Works!

If I had known it was so easy to add video, I would have done it a long time ago. All you get is Andrew again! Check out how chunky his thighs are!

Trying out video

I'm going to try to post videos. We'll see if this works!

4 Months Later...

Life with 3 little boys is very busy! There is always a tear or bottom to wipe! :) But with Andrew being 4.5 months old, we are settling into a routine. Recently, Mark's brother and wife went on a trip and their little boy stayed with Mark's parents for several days. It was a blast to spend time with him everyday he was here! Here they are in our backyard playing in the sandbox.

Cousins!

Charlie and Andrew. The older two boys are really fond of Andrew. After Andrew started belly laughing, those two will do anything to make him chuckle.

Jack likes to dress like his daddy. Here they are ready to go to church.

Once again, "I want to dress like Daddy!".

Charlie and I are the juice drinkers in our house. We love homemade carrot and apple juice! If only I could get him to eat carrots. :)

Sweet Andrew, weighing in at around 20 lbs, looks more like a 10 month old.

He is such a happy child! Well, as long as he is fed and well rested. Don't keep him up past his bedtime!

He's Here!

Well, Andrew has arrived! He is healthy and handsome and we are so grateful for God's mercy and blessing! If you want the whole birth story, give me a call. These are some pictures of the last few days.
This is before my doctor broke my water. I was actually having contractions, but still able to smile. I was trying to rest and relax at this point.

Mark was the best coach a wife could ask for. He was timing contractions and refreshing his memory with the book Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way. I highly recommend this book to any pregnant lady even if you plan on having an epidural.

Here he is, just minutes after birth. Mark has some very sweet pictures of Andrew moments after birth when he was laying on my chest. But they are on his phone and not our computer.

Getting cleaned up

Our wonderful doctor.

Do I look like I just ran a marathon? It was hard work delivering that bundle of joy!

Jack and Charlie came to see us in the hospital about an hour after Andrew was born. They were very excited to meet him! Jack drew a card for him and brought it to us.

Day 2 in the hospital. Getting cuter by the minute!

Grandmother and Andrew

Mark's parents kept Jack and Charlie another night, so we could get a little more rest. When they came home, Andrew was alseep in the bassinet. They were ready to see him.

They "petted" him very gently!

Grandpa and Andrew

Jack loves to hold him. And is very good at it!

Charlie has done very well with Andrew's arrival. He has been a little more fussy, but I think that is due to things not being normal. He has not shown any jealousy towards Andrew, but he does get very upset if he thinks its his turn to hold Andrew, but Andrew needs to eat, have a diaper change, etc. And when he is holding Andrew, he studies his face, hands, and feet. He loves the baby!

Getting a diaper change.

THe Old Towne Store is our favorite place to eat lunch. Their kids' menu is named after our sons and they recently added a new item, the Andrew Special - mashed bananas $.99. How fun is that!
